Kreidezeit priming oil (half oil) is a classic resin-free primer for interior and exterior oil paint coats. It contains 50% linseed oil varnish and 50% natural balsamic turpentine oil, making Kreidezeit (Priming Oil) vegan, made purely from natural raw materials and containing no "hidden" alkyd resins. Semi-oils have been used successfully for centuries as a primer for subsequent interior and exterior oil paints and are still very popular in painting techniques today.

The priming oil can be used for all types of untreated wood, cork, natural stone, terracotta and neutral plasters and can be applied to furniture, beams, panelling and much more. It has a water and dirt-repellent effect and, thanks to its high linseed oil content, is absorbed into the surface in the best possible way and causes the wood spores to be lined. This enables excellent cross-linking of the surface with subsequent oil-based coats.
Also suitable as a sole treatment for interior surfaces subject to low levels of stress (classic oiled surface): Furniture, beams, panelling, etc.
Thanks to the natural balsamic turpentine oil it contains, Priming Oil is ideal for all wooden surfaces and types of wood, including wood containing tannins and dense woods.
KREIDEZEIT Priming Oil consists exclusively of natural oils. It contains no "hidden" alkyd resins, e.g. made from non-drying oils such as rapeseed, soya or sunflower oil.
Suitable as a primer for subsequent coats with:
opaque stand oil paints on all untreated woods
pigmented wood stain on highly absorbent or weathered woods
