Sheep's wool naturally ensures a healthy indoor climate by breaking down harmful substances such as formaldehyde and neutralising odours. Thanks to the keratin it contains, it binds pollutants permanently. The closer the wool is installed to the interior, the better its effect on the indoor air. ISOLENA sheep's wool insulation also guarantees that no fibres are released into the room air.
Humidity regulation for healthy rooms
Damp walls irritate your health and restrict your well-being. Sheep's wool naturally regulates moisture in rooms by absorbing up to 33% of its own weight in moisture without losing its insulating quality. It releases the moisture again if the air is too dry and remains dimensionally stable and dry. Thanks to its hygroscopic properties, sheep's wool is ideal for damp environments and protects the building fabric from damage. In addition, it does not provide a breeding ground for mould, which contributes to healthier indoor air.
Sheep's wool - Natural fire protection at the highest level
Sheep's wool offers excellent fire protection thanks to its high self-ignition temperature of 560-600 °C, which is twice as high as wood. It melts in heat without dripping and, depending on the product, achieves fire protection classifications of B1, C or D in accordance with EN 13 501-1. Thanks to the 100% use of virgin sheep's wool, the innovative ISOLENA processing technology and the biocide-free wool protection IONIC PROTECT®, ISOLENA offers maximum safety in fire protection.
