Balsamic turpentine oil, which is extracted from various types of pine by steam distillation, can be used to dilute oily Kreidezeit products such as wood stains, stand oil paints, hard oils, rag wax, but also for natural oils such as linseed oil varnish, linseed oil and linseed oil stand oil, as well as for cleaning tools that are contaminated with such products. The clear, low-viscosity oil has a characteristic and intense odour and can also be used to remove stains, degrease surfaces and dissolve terpene-soluble natural resins such as rosin and dammar.
With approx. 300,000 tonnes produced annually, balsamic turpentine oil is one of the most important essential oils in terms of quantity. The main producer with about half of this quantity is the USA, but the countries of the former USSR, Scandinavia, China, Portugal and Spain also supply a large proportion.
Balsamic turpentine oil is the most ecological form of turpentine oil.
