Natural and simple: ClayFix clay coating

ClayFix clay paint offers an easy-to-apply clay finish with natural colours made from clay - without any dyes or pigments. The solvent-free, breathable paint is simply mixed with water and is suitable for all paintable surfaces. It is applied crosswise with a paintbrush, brush or tassel, or alternatively by machine. For optimum results, the substrate is prepared with ClayTec primer THE WHITE. One or two coats are usually sufficient.

The structures

The ClayFix clay coating offers a wide range of design options and is available in three different textures:

Smooth coating - without any grain, ideal for a homogeneous and elegant surface appearance.
Brush-on plaster with fine grain - gives the surface a subtle structure and a subtle feel.
Brush-on plaster with coarse grain - provides an expressive, rustic surface texture and gives the room a natural, lively appearance.

The basic colours

The basic colours are created by natural minerals in the clay. Iron oxides give it a red colour, iron hydroxides a yellow colour. Green clay contains particularly finely dispersed iron, while manganese provides brown and coal black tones.

ClayFix clay paint is available in five basic colours, which are graded in four brightening shades.

In each of these ranges, two basic colours were combined in four stages. The resulting colour tones were additionally mixed with white in three stages.
